Dave is originally from Cleveland, Ohio, and Terry was raised in St. Louis, Missouri. They both have Kentucky roots. Terry’s family is from Pulaski County and Dave’s family comes from Marion and Casey counties.

DAVID ATCHER - Pastor of Worship, Arts & Media
David is originally from Radcliff, Kentucky and lived in Elizabethtown, Kentucky for 8 years prior to moving to Leitchfield. He and his wife, Margo, met in Elizabethtown and were married in October of 2002. He joined the leadership team of First Baptist Church in November of 2006 and he and Margo feel privileged to be part of what God is doing in and through FBC.

Dr. Jerry Adamson - Pastor to Senior Adults/Family Life
Jerry and his wife, Judy, were born in Louisville and married after meeting at Western Kentucky University. They moved to Leitchfield to launch Shepherd Staff Counseling after serving in ministry for 38 years in Kentucky, Tennessee and Indiana. During the past three years this has allowed Dr. Adamson to counsel, teach and write. Currently five newspapers carry his weekly articles. Dr. Adamson holds five degrees from various schools and has taught in a half dozen.

MATT HOWE - Pastor of Students and Single Adults
Matt Howe is our Student/Single Adults Pastor. Matt is a graduate of University of the Cumberlands and Campbellsville University. He is married to Kristian and they have three children: Annabel, Oliver, and Benjamin. Matt joined us in July 2009. He comes from Northern Kentucky and thus loves everything Cincinnati including: Skyline Chili, Bengals football and Reds baseball. He also enjoys hunting, fishing and playing music. Matt’s dream vacation would include a cabin, a pair of hiking boots, some white-water, the mountains and his wife and kids…you fill in the blanks.

SHERRY CHILDRESS - Church Secretary
Sherry joined the First Baptist staff in April 1978. She handles the day to day operations of the church office including the publication of the weekly bulletin and the monthly newsletter. She is available to assist the church family with other areas of ministry as needed.
Sherry has been a resident of Grayson County for 30+ years and is a native of Breckinridge County. She is married to Charles Childress and they have two sons, Robbie and Kyle, and four grandchildren.

LISA ARMSTRONG - Financial and Administrative Assistant
Lisa and her husband, Dwayne have lived in Leitchfield and been members of First Baptist Church since 2004. They have two children, Amanda and Matthew. Lisa is a native of Fairfield, Ohio and enjoys fishing and spending time with family and friends.
Lisa joined the staff of First Baptist as the Financial and Administrative Assistant in April 2007. She has an extensive background in financial records management as the regional manager for an intermodal transportation company.
